Norma Jean Gard, age 88, of Ansonia, OH passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Vancrest of Eaton Health Care Center. She was born February 8, 1934 in Rose Hill, OH to the late Alva A. and Margurette E. (Sebring) Subler. She was a 1952 graduate of Jackson High School in Darke County. She retired from Honeywell (formerly Fram) after 47 years of employment. She enjoyed working in her garden, growing flowers and sitting on her porch. Most of all, she dearly loved her Christmas light display and bringing joy to the many people who came to see her every December. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gerald R. Gard in 1983; sisters Mary Dietrich and Phyllis Abel; and brother Billy Subler. She is survived by her daughter Bonnie Gard (John Eisenberg) of Ansonia, OH; son Ron (Angie) Gard of Eaton, OH; grandchildren: Megan Gard of Ansonia, OH, Seth Gard of Columbus, OH, Nathan Gard of Eaton, OH and Bradley Gard of Eaton, OH; sister Luella Swank of Greenville, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420.
