Helen Murphy Roussel passed away on Tuesday, March 22,2022 at the age of 86. She was a native of French Settlement and resident of Paulina, LA. Beloved wife of the late Charles Roussel. Loving mother of Ricky "Possum" Roussel (Tricia), Mark Roussel (Traci), Joan Sheets (Trent), Michelle Roddy (Derek), and Kelli Poche (Tory) and the late Wanda Remondet. Grandmother of Angie Berthelot (Sid), Lanny Remondet, Adam Roussel (Alicia), Ory Roussel (Samy), Ali Roussel, Cody Sheets (Courtney), Katie Ficklin (Bryan), Kelci Roussel, Karli Collier (Brett), Colten and Emma Poche. Great grandmother of 13 great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Eddie and Ida Murphy. Sister of Camille Malbrough (Robert), Eddie Murphy Jr. (Glenda), the late Henry Murphy, Richard Murphy, and John Daniel "JD" Murphy. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
She was the most loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend to so many who will miss her. She was a long time member of the St. Joseph Altar Society and the Catholic Daughters of America.
