CLAREMONT - Robert C. Binder, 82, of Claremont died June 16 at Christian Heritage Care Center in Upland. He was born June 29, 1920 in Schuyler, Neb. and had been a Claremont resident for 40 years. He was a meatcutter for Thriftymart for 40 years He spent five years as an electrician during World War II. He also worked in the shipyards. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pomona. He also belonged to th e meatcutters Union, International Trade Union, Joslyn Senior Computer Center, Leader of Alzheimers Casa Colina Support Group, Peer Counselor at Claremont Joslyn Center. He is survived by daughter, Kathleen Mionske of Claremont; son, Dennis C. Binder of Alta Loma; son-in-law Larry Mionske of Claremont; daughter-in-law Linda Mionske of Alta Loma; grandsons, Tim Mionske of San Diego, Todd Mionske of Surprise, Ariz., Chris Mionske of Claremont, Gregory Binder of Alta Loma; granddaughter Miranda Binder of Alt a Loma, Alissa Binder of Alta Loma; great-granddaughters Jasmine Mionske of San Diego and Kylie Mionske of San Diego with many nephews and nieces in Oregon. Services will be 2:30 p.m., Friday at Todd memorial Chapel, Claremont. Interment will be private. Contributions may be made to Inland Valley Hospice, 9961 Sierra Ave. 3A, Fontana, 92335 or the Joslyn Senior Center Computer Club, 660 N. Mountain, Claremont, 91711, Todd Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements.
