Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Buday and Oscar and Bonnie Buday Shaw; and two brothers, Mark Knopp and Michael Knopp.
Gary served in the US Marine Corps for 20 years, including four tours in Vietnam. He retired with the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. He was a member of the Stigler Masonic Lodge #121, McAlester Scottish Rite, Bedouin Shrine Club, Stigler VFW #4446, Keota and Stigler Eastern Star, the Bourbon Indiana Lions Club, Scout Master of the Boy Scouts of America in Stigler, Oklahoma and Bourban, Indiana, Head Master of Adventurer's Club in Bourbon, Indiana, Commander of American Legion Post 1 in Stigler, Oklahoma, and a member of First United Methodist Church in Stigler.
Viewing will be held at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Stigler on Friday, March 25 from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm with Family Visitation from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Stigler First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Jim Hill officiating.
