Lance Lee Bogenreif was born June 21, 1960, in Odessa, WA., to Peter Bogenreif and Carol Spurrier. From there, Lance joined the Air Force, based in the Philipines, where he worked as a Jet Engine Mechanic.

Primarily residing in Big Stone City, Lance worked contruction as a heavy equipment operator, and during the off season, filled his time doing various other jobs around the area. His hobbies included: fishing (including ice!), camping, working on his truck, helping others, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his nephews.

Lance was a warm-hearted man who was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. He was very protective of his family; whether it be right or wrong, he was there.

He had a very unique personality and an unforgettable smile. Lance worshipped his time spent with his dog, Shiner, and his nephew, Roger. The simple pleasures in life satisfied him. The great outdoors, a beautiful summer day, a sky full of stars.
