SAN ANGELO - Wanda Jo (Chowning) Adams, 62, went to be with her Lord on Friday, Aug. 15, 2008. She was born to Eulis E. Chowning and Jewel (McGilvery) Chowning on Dec. 16, 1945, in San Angelo, Texas. She married David Leslie Adams on November 22, 1966 in San Angelo, Texas. Together they had two children. Her greatest joy in life was her children and later, her grandchildren. She really enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Countless memories were made cooking and entertaining in the kitchen. Granny and Pa's door was always open to their grandchildren and grandchildren's friends, who they adopted into their hearts. As a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Wanda will be greatly missed.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, David Brent Adams.
Wanda is survived by her husband of 41 years, David Adams; daughter Banee and husband Cody Daniels; granddaughter Brandy and husband Micah Tyner; grandson Mark Daniels; granddaughter Chelsea Daniels; three brothers, Bobby, Dennis, and Steve Chowning; two great-grandsons, Austin and Jaron Tyner; and numerous other family members.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Les Spear officiating.
