EMMA MARIE DEAL
Mrs. Emma Marie Deal of Hollywood, Cal., former resident of Storm Lake and sister of Lawrence Foell, passed away April 2, 1942 in Hollywood, Cal., according to word received here.
Emma Marie Foell was born Nov. 5, 1863 at Dubuque. Early in the spring of 1865 she moved with her parents to a farm near Epworth where she attended the pubic school and Epworth Seminary.
In 1879 she came with her parents to Storm Lake where they pioneered on a farm in Hayes township. She was united in marriage to Henry W. Deal on June 16, 1887. Two children were born to this union, Hazel Ruth Foster of Covina, Cal., and Merrill Henry Deal of Hollywood.
In 1910 Mr. and Mrs. Deal went to Los Angeles where Mr. Deal died April 11, 1932.
Mr. Deal was in business in Storm Lake for a number of years. About two years ago Mr. Deal visited here hast summer, her daughter, Mrs. Foster, was in Storm Lake
