On Monday last Enoch Eiland while at work in his field on his farm in Beat 11, dropped dead; supposed to be heart failure. His remains were interred the next day at the Bullock cemetery in Beat 11. He was about 60 years old and leaves a widow and several sons and daughters. Deceased was a brother of Rev. C.L. Eiland, D.M., and C.C. Eiland. Deceased was a member of the Baptist church, a good citizen and Christian. (Crenshaw County News - February 20, 1913)
