A native of Cherokee County, he was a World War II, U. S. Army Veteran and served in the Burma campaigns. He was a life member of the Andrews V. F. W. Post 7620 and a member of the Valleytown Baptist Church. He was a retired business owner, a farmer and a hard rock miner.
He was a son of the late James Jefferson and Ella Robinson Trull and was preceded in death by four sisters, Beryl Trull Kilpatrick, Eddie Trull Edwards, Clara Belle Trull Bryson and Louise Trull Pullium, and four brothers, Robert Trull, James Pearly Trull, Teddie Roosevelt Trull and William Howard Trull.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine "Doodle" Wood Trull; a son and his wife, Jerry Lynn and Audrey Trull of Andrews, a daughter and her husband, Dianne and Burke West of Andrews; three brothers, Joel Larry Trull of Acworth, GA, Thomas Trull of Marble and Gayland Trull of Mineral Bluff, GA., three sisters, Carolyn Trull Watson of Marble, Marilyn Trull Dailey of Murphy and Emma Jean Trull Phillips of Lexington; and four grandchildren, Brett West, Jenna West, Catherine Trull and Shawn Trull.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Valleytown Baptist Church in Andrews. The Rev. Ron McClure officiated. Burial was at Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ronnie Bradley, Donnie Bradley, Tony Bradley, David Wilson, Bruce Luther and Boyd Luther. Honorary pallbearers were Jack Mintz, Jerry Hicks, George Van Buskirk, Jim Wilson and Garland Luther.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Valleytown Baptist Church Building Fund, Andrews, NC 28901.
