Milton was born October 12, 1929 in Manitowoc. He was the son of the late Edwin and Ceil Cavanaugh Soukup. Milton was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1947. He then entered the United States Army in 1947 and served with the 3rd Division as a tank driver. In 1949 he was honorably discharged and returned to Manitowoc and became employed with the Manitowoc Portland Cement Company and later with Anheuser Busch Company from where he retired. On September 2, 1951 he married Carol E. Johnson at Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on June 30, 2008. Milton was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, the American Legion Drews Bleser Post #88 and the Amvets Post #99. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by four children, David Soukup with his special friend, Pat, Manitowoc, Sharon Stuebs, Yuma, AZ, Gail Pritzel, Two Rivers, Nancy (Michael) Walters, Manitowoc; grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Ceil Soukup and his wife, Carol.
Private funeral services for the family will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home with Deacon Alan Boeldt officiating. Military rites will follow at the funeral home by the American Legion Drews Bleser Post #88 and the Amvets Post #99. Burial will then take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc.
