JOHN R. WILKEN
The Rev. August Hintz will officiate at the services for John R. Wilken, 87, of Sioux Falls, at the Miller funeral home 2 p.m. Thursday. He died here Monday. Mrs. R. E. Giedd will be organist. Mr. Wilken was born July 3, 1862, in Germany. When 20 years old, he came to the United States and settled in Iowa before coming to Lennox where he took up farming. He also lived in the Worthing area before coming to Sioux Falls 40 years ago. He has lived here since. Surviving Mr. Wilken are five daughters, one son, four sisters and one brother. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant cemetery. The Miller funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
