George Roderique "Rod" Pearson
Beloved Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather went to be with those who have gone before him on March 12, 2022.
Rod was born on May 9, 1930. He graduated from Eastern High School in Lansing, MI. He was the beloved husband of Yvonne "Bonnie" (Benjamin) Pearson, who predeceased in on July 10, 2010. She told him she would be on the other side of the moon waiting for him, now they are together. Rod was predeceased by his parents George C. Pearson and Shirley (Spears) Pearson.
Rod was a proud Army veteran whos service was during the Korean Conflict. He was a PROUD union member, retiring from the Iron Workers after 30 years.
Rod leaves behind his son Randy (Sara) Pearson, his daughter Jill (Jeff) Ferris, and step-daughters Debra Perkins and Cathy Wollpert. Grandchildren Jake (Emily) Pearson, Brooke (Hugh) Lavery, Brandie Sykes, Cherie Clark, Heidi Skaff, Emily Ferris, Graham (Megan) Ferris, Partick Carr, Adam Carr (Amanda), Lacy Scafer, Ryan Wolfpert, and Brianne Archer from a blended family, 17 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren. There are also many cherished friends and neighbors.
He had a long, colorful, and well-lived life.
A visitation for George will be held Monday, March 21, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 West Saginaw Street, Lansing, MI 48917. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 3232 West Saginaw Street, Lansing, MI 48917. Burial will take place at Deepdale Memorial Gardens following the service.
