Irene "Renie" Grinage, 95, of Idabel, passed away Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, at Idabel. She was born May 8, 1912, in the Redland community, the daughter of Joel and Mary Tidwell Citty.

Irene was retired from the County Treasurer's Office, she then went to work for Jess Price Ford and then James Hodge Ford where she worked in bookkeeping until the age of 89. She was the first woman jury foreman in McCurtain County. Irene enjoyed crossword puzzles and working in her yard. She was a member of Redland Church of Christ and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Preston Lambert in 1943, and Buel Grinage in 1975; and eight brothers and sisters.

Irene is survived by her daughter, Jeanette Lambert of Idabel; stepdaughter, Carol Bradford of California; grandchildren, Nowita and husband John Martin of Idabel, Howard Hairrell and wife Rene of Valliant, and Susie Hairrell of Idabel; step grandchild, Kevin Blair of California; brother and sister-in-law, Haskell and Joyce Citty of the Redland Community; nine great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at the Redland Cemetery with Dick Logan officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
