CRAWFORDVILLE - Elemeta B. Abbott, 87, a homemaker, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, in Tallahassee. The service will be at 2 p.m. EST Tuesday at Crawfordville First Baptist Church, with burial at Lake Ellen Cemetery. Family will receive friends from noon EST until the service time Tuesday at the church. Harvey-Young Funeral Home in Crawfordville (850-926-3333) is handling arrangements. She was a member of Crawfordville First Baptist Church, the Young at Heart and the TEL Adult Sunday School class. She was an avid quilter. Her survivors include four sons, Buddy Abbott of Crawfordville, Bob Abbott and Donnie Abbott of Tallahassee and John Abbott of Sneads; a daughter, Nancy Calhoune of Atlanta; a sister, Gladys Knight of Bowling Green; 14 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
