Charles Wendell DeLong

With heavy hearts, but extreme gratitude for a life well lived, the family of Charles Wendell DeLong announce his passing at Saint John Regional Hospital on March 10, 2022. Wendell was predeceased by his loving wife Dorothy, daughter Gail, brothers Larry, Don, and Ron.
Born in 1928 in Saint John NB, he was the son of the late Stewart and Amanda DeLong.
Wendell had a very fulfilling career as a foreman with Arrow Glass in Saint John spanning many years. He was a very talented craftsman with an eye for detail, his carpenter skills were impeccable. Wendell's passion was building model boats from scratch over the years.
Left to mourn are his children; Judy, Tom, Lynn (Rick) Beaudoin, Bob (Kim), Neil (Nancy), son-in-law Bob Cropley, sister Audrey Alexander.
Wendell will be remembered by his grandchildren; Kurt (Heather) Barton, Joe Martin, Melissa (Todd White) DeLong, Jay DeLong, Jason (Katrina) Beaudion, Donald Beaudoin, Bryan Beaudoin, Rebecca (John) Fitzpatrick, and Jennifer DeLong.
Cherished great-grandchildren; Lucas, Logan and Willow Barton, Hanley DeLong, Brynn and Reagan Fitzpatrick and several nieces and nephews.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation hours being held on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022 starting at 10:30 AM until a Funeral Liturgy beginning at 12:00 PM in the Fundy Chapel. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
