Alvin Henley "Joe" Jones, 59, of 126 Bitter Creek Road, died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005, at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley.

Born in Pickens County, he was a son of the late Cosmore and Adgie Eleanora Dickard Jones. He worked as a forklift operator for TTI and was a member of Sunrise Independent Baptist Church.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Linda Diane Walker Jones of Pickens; a son, Jesse Daniel Jones of Pickens; two brothers, William "Mack" Jones of Easley, and Don F. Jones of Roseboro, N.C.; three sisters, Elizabeth J. Rogers of Easley, Faye J. Crisp and Joyce J. Duncan, both of Pickens; and a grandson, Kenneth Shane Jones. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Chana L. Jones; and a brother, Larry T. Jones.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, with Rev. Earl Green officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
