Ruth Hensley, age 77, of Knoxville, TN., passed away on March 17, 2022.
Ruth was born and raised in Knoxville, TN. Ruth loved her church and was a member of Harvest Church for many years. A past time for Ruth was making cakes and even had one published in a cookbook.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Hensley, parents; Hansel and Nadine Whaley, one brother, two sisters and one life-long friend Elizabeth Anderson, a childhood and lifelong friend from school.
Ruth is survived by her children, Llana Maria Arwood, Melissa Kay Beets, Ian Kevin Hensley (Angela), India Gail Carroll (Jamie) all of Knoxville; grandchildren, Darryl Craig Arwood, Matthew Robert Arwood, Derek Wayne Beets, Tabatha Rhoda Nadine Beets, Isabella N'Shel Arwood, Shawn Michael Beets, Kevin Alexander Hensley, Philip James Hensley, Abigail Veora-Rose Hensley, Emily Alexis Carroll, Logan Porter Carroll, Olivia Cheyenne Carroll, Quentin Eli Carroll, Udora Renae Carroll; great-grandchildren, Marcus, Isaiah, Jalin, Haylee, Austen, Anastasia, Conner, Dallas, Aryion, Liam; four siblings, Monroe (Caudeane) Whaley, Betty Whaley, Lynda Weetman, and Eugene Whaley, as well as several nieces and nephews. Ruth loved her family, and her grandchildren were her life.
Visitation will take place on Monday, March 21, 2022, from 5 to 7 p.m., with a service at 7 p.m. at Harvest Church, 6720 Kern Rd. Knoxville, TN. 37918.
A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 1 pm at Eastview Memory Gardens.
