Maroa, Jan. 24--Funeral services for Warner Allsup, 71, who died in his home here Monday, were conducted in the Presbyterian church Wednesday afternoon by Rev. E. H. Coen,assisted by Rev.G. N. Wilkinson. Burial was in Maroa cemetery.
Mr. Allsup was born in Dewitt county July 18, 1858, the son of Washington and Margaret Hardy. On Feb. 4,1877 he married Alice Belle Davis of Lincoln county.To this union seven children were born, four of whom are living. From the time of their marriage until 1898, Mr. and Mrs. Allsup resided on a farm in Dewitt county. Since that time he has lived in Maroa.
The four children surviving Mr.Allsup are: Mrs.George M.Butler, Mrs.B. F. Caplinger and Mrs. G. T. Smart,all of Maroa and Orville Allsup of Decatur. He also is survived by 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren/
