Hazel Johnson Seitter, 98, widow of Eugene "Gene" J. Seitter, passed away peacefully, March 9, 2022, at her home with her loving family by her side.

Mrs. Seitter was born in Georgetown on November 1, 1923, a daughter of the late James Eugene Johnson and Hazel Tine Godwin Seitter.

Mrs. Seitter grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Winyah High School, She was a faithful member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Hazel and Eugene were happily married for sixty-sixty years. Mrs. Seitter worked for Lawrimor & Sietter Farm Supply, Inc. the family business for many years. She was known for her loving, kind and happy disposition, as well as her delicious home cooked meals. She made sure you felt welcome when you were in her home. Mrs. Seitter was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving are: a son, Eugene Jacob Seitter, Jr. (Debra) of Georgetown; two daughters, Marie Ann Seitter Yarborough of Hanahan, and Donna Jean Seitter Parr of Georgetown; two half-brothers, Sydney and Steven Johnson; four grandchildren, Richard Eugene Deer (Pam), Kimberly Brett Camlin (Charlie), Brian Eugene Seitter (Kelly), and Charles Raymond Seitter (Kelley); ten great-grandchildren, Sean Patrick Deer, Patricia Anne Deer, Ashley Teresa Deer, Wintergrace Denise Baylor, Emily Gail Seitter, Lydia Dell Wardlaw ( Adam), Paige Overton Camlin, Charles Frederick Camlin, Jr., Brennan Sophia Seitter and Griffin Thomas Seitter; and three great-great-grand children, Ellie, Wesley and Bennett

Graveside services will be one o'clock Saturday, March 12, 2022, in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be the Pastor Warren Gregory Martin.

In lieu of the flowers, the family suggests memorials to: Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1605 S Fraser St, Georgetown, SC 29440.

The Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home is assisting the family.
