Marmaduke Evan-Thomas JP 5 Nov 1897 – 28 Mar 1953 was a first- class Welsh cricketer and Royal Navy officer.
Parents: Algernon Ham Evan-Thomas 1852-1902 m.12 Feb 1885 Lillian Watson Lee 1860-1913, he was born in November 1897 on a family estate in Builth Wells, Brecknockshire. Attended Royal Naval College, Osborne, where he was admitted to the Royal Navy. After serving in World War I, he made his first-class cricket debut with the Royal Navy Cricket Club, making two first-class appearances. 1919 and 1920 at Fenner's, University of Cambridge. He later made his third appearance as a first-class cricketer at the Marylebone Cricket Club against the British Navy at Chatham in 1929. He ended his naval career in Commander, later becoming Justice of Peace. Evan-Thomas died in March 1953 at Llanwrtyd Wells, Brecknockshire.
