Obituary
James Kenneth Cruthirds, age 63, passed away suddenly at his home in Latimer on Sunday, March 6, 2022 leaving his family shocked and heartbroken.

Ken was born on May 18, 1958 to the late Bentley Cruthirds Sr and Bonnie Barnett Cruthirds. He was the second of four sons. He spent his whole life in Latimer. Ken graduated from St. Martin High School class of 1978. Ken worked for The Mississippi Department of Transportation for 32 years. He retired as a Supervisor in 2010 and then worked with the department as a contract worker until 2021. Ken was an avid and skilled outdoorsman with Deer Hunting being his passion. He was also a skilled carpenter and handyman who designed and built his own home. Of all the things he loved to do, he considered his two children as his greatest accomplishments. He never met a stranger. His great sense of humor was contagious.

Ken is preceded in death by his father, Bentley Lee Cruthirds Sr.; his mother, Bonnie Jean Barnett Cruthirds; and his brother, Steven Cruthirds.

Ken is survived by his son, Brandon Kenneth Cruthirds, of Latimer, MS.; his daughter, Kayleigh Jean Cruthirds (Breanna) of Phoenix City, Alabama; the mother of his children, Christina Parks Holland of St. Martin; his eldest brother, Bentley Cruthirds Jr. (Kathy) his brother, Johnny Cruthirds (Cheryl) all of Latimer;. nieces, Brandy, Jessica, Judith, Destiny, Amanda and Amber; nephews, Duane, Tyler "T.C.", Ryan, Austin, Colton, Melvin, Nick and Jason; 7 great nieces and 5 great nephews, all of Latimer.

Visitation is on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. in West Jackson County. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 10th with friends and family visiting from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be held at Cruthirds Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Cruthirds Road in Latimer.
