Carolyn Sue "Susie" Davis, 61, of Cowen, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Braxton County Memorial Hospital.
Carolyn was born December 12, 1955, in Braxton County a daughter of the late Scott and Dorothy Radcliff Wolverton.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Myrtle Skidmore, James "Ronnie" Wolverton, Ruth "Connie See, William "Billy" Wolverton, Harold "Jacky" Wolverton, Delmas Conrad, and great-grandson, Austin Lee Wolverton.
Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, She loved to take and collect pictures, crochet, shop, and go to the beach.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Edgar "Buddy" Davis, daughters, Alice (Mike) Criss of Cowen, Dorothy (Gary) Bender of Cowen, son, Freddie Wolverton of Ahoskie, North Carolina, step-children, Susan (Johnny) Smith of Conway, North Carolina, Carolyn Davis (fiancé John Newton) of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, Johnnie Davis of Pendelton North Carolina, Shirley (Joe) Vaughan of Ahoskie, North Carolina and Shelia (Steve) Turner of Conway North Carolina. 6 grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren, 15 step-great-grandchildren with one on the way.
Service was held at 2:00 pm. Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Larry Cochran officiating. Burial will follow at the Woods Cemetery, Cowen.
