Berta Olee Edwards, 96, of Snyder and formerly of Moran, died Wednesday at Snyder Health Care Center. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Moran Cemetery under the direction of Godfrey-Neese Funeral Home of Albany. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Edwards was born June 6, 1914, in Wood County to William Smith and Johnie Campbell Smith. She was the widow of Tom Reynolds whom she married on May 4, 1931 in Longview, Texas. After his death, she married Dary Edwards on October 24, 1953 in Clayton, NM. Mrs. Edwards was a member of the Baptist Church. She moved to Snyder from Moran in September, 2004.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by one son, Paul Ray Reynolds and wife Sybil of Snyder; eleven grandchildren, Earl Reynolds and wife Rulene of Grand Prairie, Stacy Reynolds and wife Nita of Midland, Glenda Lee Gillihan and husband Gary of Big Spring, Leeann Anderson and husband Kendal of Weatherford, Randy Agnew of Ft. Worth, Paula Hettinger and husband Tim of Moran, Ricky Reynolds of Tucson, Arizona, Cynthia K. Crow and husband Bill of Lubbock, Dorothy Lea Keefer of Abilene, Dean Cruse and wife Kelly of Carlsbad, New Mexico, and Sam Cruse and wife Renee of Lubbock; one step-son, Jimmy Edwards of Waco; one step-daughter, Wanda Ellis of Moran; and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Tom Reynolds and Dary Edwards; two sons, James Edward Reynolds and Charles Glenn Reynolds; and one daughter, Glenda Jean Agnew.
