Henry Lander was named after his grandfather, another Henry Lander who married Hannah Skinner. Henry II, the son of Charles Lander and Catherine "Kate" Forman, was born in Hampshire County, VA (now a part of West Virginia). He married Margaret "Peggy" Allen on 10 Dec 1807 in Bourbon County, Kentucky. They had eight children in 18 years. He died on June 14, 1841, in Bourbon, Kentucky, at the age of 54.
