Adolph Carlson, 68, Former Turlocker, Dies After Illness

Summary
Turlock, Mar 18 – Adolph E. Carlson, 68, former resident of Turlock, died yesterday in a San Francisco hospital after a long illness.

A native of York, NE (note York Co., NE), came to Turlock in 1904. He moved to Idaho in 1907, where he married Miss Phoebe Erickson. He returned to Turlock, back to Nebraska, returning to Turlock until is retirement in 1940, when he moved to Hollister.
Member of the Berea Lutheran Church of Hilmar and an active board member.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Phoebe Carlson of Palo Alto; 4 daughters, Mrs. Leonard Erickson of Fresno, Mrs. Elmer Anderson of Menlo Park, Mrs. Albert Barel of Millbrae and Mrs. Reuben Salmonson of Hilmar; 4 sons, W. R. Carlson of San Jose, Virgil and Delyn Carlson, both of Palo Alto and Floyd Carlson of Hilmar, 12 grandchildren. He was a brother of Charles and Malcolm Carlson, both of NE.; Alfred Carlson of CO and Victor and John Carlson, both of Turlock.

Services will be Monday in the Norton Mortuary with Dr. M. A. Odell, Berea Lutheran Church pastor, interment in South Hilmar Cemetery.
