Our amazing & cherished wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother, sister & friend, Linda Williams Storer passed away September 27, 2020 at her home in Taylorsville, Utah after a very long, courageous battle with cancer.
Linda was born August 20, 1944 in Provo, Utah to Clayton Orvil Williams and Annie Leah Olson. She had several siblings that she was very close to her entire life, and they will miss her deeply. Linda graduated from Juab High School in 1962, attended Stevens Henagar College in Salt Lake, where she received her Associates Degree in 1963. She met the love of her life, Arland Storer in May 1963 in the apartment building that they both lived at the time. Arland and Linda were married December 28, 1963 in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.
Arland & Linda were blessed with 3 wonderful children: Darren (Linda), Kris Chavez, Douglas (Christine), 5 Grandchildren, also one Great-grandson. Also survived by her sisters: Verdean Slack, Joyce Harward (Ike), Karla Newbold (Phillip) & her brother, Allen Williams (Ronda). Preceded in death by her mother, father, sister, Verona & 2 infant brothers.
Linda defied the odds after being diagnosed with cancer of the colon, thyroid, skin, breast, & Acute Myeloid Leukemia- where she was told of a prognosis of 24 months, but made it 41 months. She was one strong woman & will be missed by all that knew her. Special thanks to the numerous medical staff members that worked with mom over the years, especially the nurses at the IMC Infusion Center where she received blood/platelet transfusions up until a week before her passing.
To honor Linda's memory there will be a viewing Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 11:45 am to 12:45 pm followed by Graveside services at 1:00 pm at Valley View Funeral Home, 4100 South 4335 West, West Valley City.
