Daughter of the late Bert and Margaret Lyle Gregory Short, Jr. Frances is a member of the Clear Fork Church of God Assembly and a 1961 graduate of Oceana High School. She was Godly, selfless, humble and loved by everyone who knew her. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother Ronald Leon Short brother-in-laws Douglas Arthur "Bo" Conley, and Robert "Bobby" Conley and sister-in-laws Linda Lou Conley Lester and Nancy Jane McDonald Short. Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years John William "J. W." Conley three daughters Tamara Sue Lester of Elk Lick, Melissa Rena (Ronald) Altizer, II of Sunhill and Dawn Marie (Kenneth) Clay of Elk Lick a son David Sterling Conley of Elk Lick three sisters Phyllis (J. B.) Cook of Elk Lick, Charlotte (Tommy) Brown of Crouches Farm and Freda (Eddie Bee) Aliff of Elk Lick three brothers Eddie (companion Rebecca Brown) Short of East Over SC, Bert "Dickie" (Karen) Short of Matheny and Timothy "Timbo" (companion Angie Hearns) Short of Max Meadows, VA four grandchildren Bobby Dale Lester, Ivan Stuart Clay, Treavor John Conley and Brendon Kay Altizer and a host of other loving family and friends.
