The other children lived full lives
Clem resided in Precinct 4 Bellville, Conecuh, Alabama until he was 39 years old. In 1920 he moved to Loree, Conecuh, Alabama where he lived until 1940. After that he moved to Bermuda, Conecuh, Alabama. He died in Mobile Alabama in 1963 at age 81 of TB related illness. Clem worked for man with a sawill & stayed away some often. Clem farmed & between crop seasons he worked at sawmill (Mr. Johnson).He Played violin & was community fiddler. In addition to farming, working in a sawmill and playing the fiddle to earn a living, Clem contracted to cut hay. Red Odem said that Clim was an artist at cutting hay. Clem also made and sold pork sausage. Clem was known to have a temper.
