MILLERSBURG -- Edgar T. March Sr., 91, of 1000 March Lane died Saturday at home. He was retired from the local plasterer and masonry union and was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Susquehanna Lodge 364 F&AM, Harrisburg Consistory, National Rifle Association and Dauphin County Anglers Association. He liked hunting, fishing and ornithology. He was the widower of Bessie White March. Surviving are two sons, Fredric of Millersburg and Louis of Lykens; eight daughters, Barbara Hartwig of Tampa, Janet Rumfelt of Dalmatia, June Horst of Linglestown, Adelaide Loftus of Philadelphia, Doris Welch of Seward, Alaska, Harriet Messner, Rita Hoy and Kathryn Shomper, all of Millersburg; a brother, Kenneth of Elizabethtown; 17 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at his church. Entombment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hoover funeral home and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with Masonic services at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
