Obituary - Petoskey News Review, April 18, 1965 - Mrs. Kabelman Rites Tuesday - Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church for Mrs. Martha Marie Kabelman, 87, who died Sunday at Lockwood General Hospital where she had been a patient for one day. The Rev. Harry H. Meyer will officiate and interment will be in the Ayr Cemetery. Mrs. Kabelman had been a patient at the Hughey Convalescent Home for the past two years. She was born in Germany on December 17, 1877 and came to Northern Michigan with her family when she was four years old. She married William Kabelman in rites at Ayr in 1901 and they made their home in Pleasantview Township. He preceded her in death several years ago. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. Surviving are three sons, William of Muskegon, Otto of Chicago, Ill., and Louis of Petoskey; a daughter, Mrs. William (Lena)Schmidt of Harbor Springs; 11 grandchildren; one great grandson; a sister, Mrs. Emma Falk of Walloon Lake. The body is at the Stone Funeral Home, where friends may call.
