AKINS, JO ANN - age 62 of Tellico Plains, passed away suddenly, Friday afternoon June 2, 2006 along with her husband, J.R. Akins, in an automobile accident in Vonore. She was selfless in all that she did and was a beloved mother and grandmother. Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Robbie Torbett, Madisonville, Pam and Allen Wilson, Tellico Plains, Wanda and David Blevins, Maryville, Elaine and David Antrican, Knoxville; 7 grandchildren; sisters, Louise Akins, Tellico Plains, Evelyn Jones, Pathfork, KY; brother, Paul Orr, Tellico Plains; several nieces and nephews. Funeral 11:00 a.m. Monday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Ollie Lankford, Rev. Genis Best officiating. Interment in Ebenezer (Ball Play) Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
