It is with extreme sadness we announce that on Thursday, February 17 Henrietta Hill, mother of 5 children passed away at the age of 98.

Known to many as "Mom" or "Grandmom" she was a bright spark in this world and will be deeply missed by the many she touched in this world over the years.

Henrietta was born in Old Salem Hospital in Salem NJ in May 1923 to Roy and May Ware. She graduated from Salem High School in 1941, and was an integral part of the Hill's Produce Farm up until the time of her passing. Henrietta also spent some years working for DRBA as a toll collector at the Delaware Memorial Twin Bridges. On July 3, 1941 she married Calvin Hill, and they raised four sons, and a daughter.

Henrietta had a love of birds. She had many birdfeeders and would stand at the kitchen window and watch them come to the feeders. Her love of birds was exceeded by her passion for lighthouses. She collected many different pieces of both historic and famous lighthouses from throughout the country. She was an avid knitter, making lovely pieces, afghans, and sweaters for her children and grandchildren. Reading, Search-A-word, Facebook, and spending time with her family were some of favorite pastimes. One of her favorites was trips with family and friends to Ocean City, NJ, and sitting on the beach.

Henrietta was preceded in death by her father and mother, her sister Barbara, infant son Howard, and her husband Calvin. She is survived by her four sons and daughter, her sister (Helen), and ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday February 23, 2022 at Canton Baptist Church 12:00 pm
