Sunshine, fondly nicknamed "Sunny" was the much-beloved cat of a friend. He passed away at the young age of four from a severe case of multiple calcium oxalate bladder stones. He had undergone surgery; but despite the skill and experience of the veterinary team (and the most ardent prayers of his family and friends), they just couldn't quite get them all.
Sunny was one part "sweet boy," one part comic who brought immeasurable amounts of love and joy into the life of his human "pawrent". All but ignoring fancy, expensive cat toys, he preferred climbing to dizzying heights on scratching posts, chasing his own tail; regular infusions of catnip; playing with his sibling brother, Sammy; and having his handsome medium-length coat brushed. He is missed more than words can say.

Weep not for me though I am gone,
