Ms. Jeanette Landon Boyett, age 75, of Patterson, passed away Saturday afternoon, February 12, 2022, following an extended illness.

Born July 12, 1946 in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late George Ottis Landon and Vera Roberson Landon. While living most of her life in Pierce County, she also lived several years in Jacksonville, Florida.

She obtained an Associate Degree as an LPN and worked at the Memorial Hospital of Waycross for a short time before being employed by CSX of Waycross where she worked for 15 years. She then transferred to the CSX Finance Dept as a Real Estate Tech in Jacksonville, FL for 6 years before retiring.

Since a young woman, she was a full-time homemaker. She was also a most gracious loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother.

She truly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and most especially all her grands…her babies.

She was a loving, gracious and talented lady. All her life she enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafting, gardening, and feeding and watching all wildlife in her backyard.

At an earlier age, by faith, Jeanette trusted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, and because of her personal relationship and love for her Savior and Lord, she was loving and compassionate about taking care of and helping others. She lived her Christian life with JOY…her heart attitude being…

She was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for many years before her extended illness.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband: Joseph Larry Boyett; her son: David Larry Boyett; her brothers, JR "Doc" Landon (Bobbi Jean), James Landon, Ray Landon; and her sister: Janice Landon Manning (Bill).

Surviving are her three daughters, Huiyon Boyett Gill (Randy) of Offerman, Jeanie Boyett Hunt (Charley) of Elgin, SC, and DeeAnna Boyett Michaels of Blackshear; 11 grandchildren, Jeremy Boyett, JD Boyett (Alicia), Larry Boyett, Zac Jones (Angie), Vivian Boyett (Trent), twins Marty Michaels and David Michaels, Faith Jones Smith (Taylor), Bryan Hunt (Rachel), Kayla Hunt Boozer (Ron), and Brad Hunt (Brittany); 14 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; her brothers and sisters: Julian Landon of Patterson; Lawton Landon (Norma Jean) of Jacksonville, FL; LaWanda Landon Bradley (Bob) of Eufaula, AL; Shirley Landon of Blackshear; Betty Landon Summers of Alma; Josh Landon (Joan) of Waycross; and Jerry Landon (Barb) of Screven; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A memorial service will take place on Friday (2/25/22) at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. I.B. Boyette and Rev. Paul M. Monroe officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
