Joann Jordan Cook, 74, went home to be with her Lord Friday evening February 18, 2022 at Forsyth Medical Center.
Joann was born in Forsyth County on December 11, 1947 to the late Robert and Helen George Jordan. She was retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company with 20 years of service. Joann was dedicated to reading her Bible daily. Throughout her entire life, Joann was known for helping others with no questions asked. She loved spending time with her daughter and grandson.
In addition to her parents, Joann is preceded in death by her son, Larry Todd Cook; brothers, Richard and Randy Jordan, and sisters, Linda and Kathy Jordan.
Joann is survived by her loving daughter, Lori C. Shaw (Johnny); grandchildren, Conner Shaw and Fallon Cook, and father of her children and longtime friend, Herb Cook.
There will be a 7:00 pm funeral service held on Monday, February 21, 2022 at the Burroughs Chapel with Pastor Jon White officiating. Burial will follow at 11:00 am on Tuesday February 22, 2022 at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall.
The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00 pm on Monday February 21, 2022 at Burroughs Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter.
