ARLINGTON, Donald William Boyd, 92, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021. Donald attended Wauzeka High School and at 16 years old owned Stueben Mobile Station in Wisconsin. He met the love of his life, Shirley Steele, and they married June 30, 1953. Donald served four years in the US Navy, then received his degree from Platteville University Wisconsin and became a Professor at Marquette University. He relocated with Shirley and four children to Arlington, TX in 1975 and started Don Boyd's Wallpapering, working for many prestigious builders and decorators. After wallpapering, he worked at Wal-Mart for ten years in the sporting goods department. Donald was a man of faith. His passions were fishing, cooking, family genealogy, arts and storytelling. Donald was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, and friend. His presence will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ariadne Boyd; sister, Dorothy Kraemer; brother, Charles Boyd; and grandson Benjamin Bressert.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Boyd; children, Richard Boyd, Diann Bressert and husband Tom Bressert, Jane Boyd, Patricia Calhoun and husband Ricky Calhoun; grandchildren, Patricia Decker and husband Derick Decker, Tracie Quinn and husband Elliott Quinn, Elizabeth Bressert; great-grandchildren, Erin Quinn, Dustin Decker, Kaitlyn Decker, Ava Decker, Dawson Decker; sisters, Barbara Durrant and Eleanor Rickey and numerous family and friends.

Funeral service for Donald will be Friday, November 5, 2021 at 10:30AM at Tate Springs Baptist Church (4201 Little Road, Arlington, Texas 76016) with interment to follow at Emerald Hills Memorial Park in Kennedale, Texas. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 6:00-8:00PM at Emerald Hills Funeral Home (500 Kennedale Sublett Road, Kennedale, Texas 76060).
