Anna Mae graduated from Menominee High School class of 1949. Upon graduation she attended St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago.
On December 18, 1954 Anna Mae married Louis M. Amerman at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Marinette, Wis. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1985.
Anna Mae was employed by Menominee Area Public Schools from 1971 until her retirement in 1994 as a library clerk. Anna Mae's husband Louis was in the military and because of the military life this brought them to travel the United States and abroad. Their favorites were where their three children were born, Izmir Turkey, Fort Huachuca Arizona and Fort Hood Texas, finally retiring in her hometown of Menominee, Mich.
Anna Mae was a member of Holy Spirit Parish in Menominee, Mich., and the American Legion Auxiliary for 49 years. She loved to read her books and was a diehard Chicago Cubs fan all her life and also loved the Green Bay Packers.
Anna Mae is survived by her 3 daughters: Julie Erickson of Menominee, Mich., Mary Beth (Howard) Edwards of Wausaukee, Wis. and Patti Amerman of Menominee, Mich.
3 grandchildren: Christopher (April) Erickson, Benjamin (Carri) Erickson, and Jonathan (Tara) Erickson.; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and one on the way.
She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and her last cousin Thomas Johnson.
Anna Mae is preceded in death by her husband Louis,
siblings: Eugene Blomquist, Elaine Lendl, Richard Blomquist and Donald Blomquist
and son-in-law Roy Erickson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Anna Mae at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Menominee on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 10:00am with Fr. Abraham Mupparathara officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
