He was born in Detroit , June 3, 1947, the son of late Leonard and Virginia (Lewandowski) Borek.
Dennis was a 1965 graduate of Roseville High School. His marriage to Elizabeth G. St. Denis was November 25, 1967. Elizabeth passed away July 30, 2018. He was a parishioner of Holy Family Parish, Memphis, and a member Knights of Columbus. Dennis loved his faith and family. He loved cruising around in his '41 Chevy . Dennis enjoyed camping, bowling on a league at Stricker's Entertainment Center, Armada, MI. He was known as the "lucky man" of scratch off tickets and at the casino.
He was also in the U.S. Navy, E-4 Helicopter Antisubmarine Squadron for four years, 1966-1970. Two years of the Naval reserve, 1970-1972.
Surviving in addition to Martha Miller-Borek, are his two daughters, Bernadette (Eric) Malooley of Burtchville Twp; Bridget (Steve) Ames of Memphis; two sons, Dennis (Tina) Borek of Albuquerque New Mexico; Michael Borek of Memphis. Ten grandchildren, Meagan (Senjon), Caleb (Ashlind), Jessica (Michael), Eileen (Travis), Michael (Kaitlyn Machinski), Justin (Courtiney) Pociask, Chelsea (Kyle) Grey, Hailey, Cade, Luke. Ten great grandchildren, Rhyan, Nova, Zoey, Hendrix, Arthur, Aria, Charlee, Mayzie, Killian and Declan. Two siblings, Leonard (Linda) Borek, Marsha (Gary) Harris, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family honors the memory of Dennis and invites you to visit and share memories Saturday February 26, 2021 from 10:15-11:00 a.m.at Holy Family Church, Memphis. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Memphis Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to "St. Clair County Animal Control" and "Wounded Warriors"
