Thomas Lee "Tommy" Dixon, 77, of Varnamtown, NC passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022, in the Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center following a lengthy and difficult illness.

Tommy was born on November 5, 1944, in Brunswick County, NC, son of Lucille Chadwick Dixon and Raleigh Clyde Dixon, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Edwards and brother, Rev. R.C. Dixon.

He was a member of Dixon Chapel United Methodist Church and was a retired commercial fisherman. He loved being outside and loved hunting and fishing alongside Cindy up until he was no longer able.

Surviving are his loving wife and devoted care giver, Cindy Hewett Dixon; a son, Perry Wayne Dixon; a daughter, Stacey Green and husband Chris; two grandchildren, Destiney Sellers and Haley Green; sister-in-law, Lori Galloway and husband Mark; nieces and nephews, Ashley & August Kuigere, their children, Logan & Ally, Corey & Kasey Galloway, their children, Karson & Kamden, Taylor and Hannah Galloway and their children, Sebastian & Hudson, John & Madeline Todd; and father-in-law, Doug Hewett.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, on Saturday the twelfth of February 2022 in the Dixon Chapel UMC with The Reverend William Negron officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
