Paul Dunn was born November 18, 1904 near Cedar Creek, Missouri and departed this life January 21, 1985 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield after a long illness. He died at the age of 80 years, 2 months and three days. He was born the son of Guy and Emma (Curry) Dunn.
He was saved at an early age and joined the General Baptist Church of Cedar Creek and lived a faithful Christian life until Jesus called him home. He bore his suffering with patience with Christ being his helper.
He was united in marriage to Winey Ely on August 1, 1936. To this union two sons were born.
Survivors are his wife, Winey, of the home; two sons, Dean of Cedar Creek and Melvin, of Pleasant Hope; three grandchildren, Carla and Glenda Dunn of Pleasant Hope and Aaron Dunn of Cedar Creek; one brother, Alvin Dunn of Hood River, Oregon. Also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held January 24, 1985 at the White River General Baptist Association Building in Taneyville with Rev. Floyd Roberts and Rev. David Holvick officiating. Burial was in Brown Cemetery near Cedar Creek under the direction of Kissee Mortuary in Forsyth.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. We know our loss is Heaven's gain.
