Funeral services for Leo Wayne Miller of El Reno were held Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at Red Rock United Methodist Church with Rev. Michelle McCarty and Chaplain Roger Bennett officiating. Burial was in the Red Rock Cemetery. Services were under direction of Wilson Funeral Home.

Mr. Miller died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007, at Maple Lawn Manor in Hydro. He was born April 8, 1924, southwest of Calumet. Leo grew up in the Calumet area and was a graduate of Calumet High School. He served in the Army during World War II. He attended several business schools for his job with Western Union. He retired from Western Union after working in St. Louis and New York City. Following his retirement, he moved back to the Calumet area where he worked for Calumet Industries, Texas Watermelon and the Calumet Co-op. Leo also owned and operated antique stores in El Reno and Oklahoma City. He was a member of Red Rock United Methodist Church and the Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce S. and Sarah Florence (Brooks) Miller; three brothers, E.H. "Buster" Miller, Charlie Miller and Gene Miller; three sisters, Opal Smith, Emma Ellen Robinson and Jessie Todd; his companion, Walter J. Hicks Jr.; and a nephew, Douglas Smith.

Survivors include nephews, Jack Robinson and wife, Alice of El Reno, Kenneth Smith and wife, Dixie of Geary, Larry Todd and wife, Edith of Oklahoma City, Mike Todd and wife, Karin of Oklahoma City, Earl Bruce Miller of Stroud and Dick Miller of California; nieces, Cheryl West of El Paso, Texas, and Norma Gayle Penwright of Calumet.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Oklahoma and Arkansas Chapter Inc., Central Oklahoma Regional Center, 5400 N. Grand Blvd., Suite 255, Oklahoma City, Okla. 73112.
