Donald Fredrick Ball, a resident of Woolmarket, Mississippi, peacefully stepped into Glory on February 16, 2022. Don was born in Jackson, Mississippi on October 16, 1941. He had been a resident of Woolmarket since 1962.

Don was preceded in death by his loving grandparents Clarence and Eunice Ball; his parents Helen and Jim Molpus, Colonel Cliff Ball, Cornelia Ball, and Agnes Moore Ball; his siblings Jimmy Molpus, Jerry Molpus, and Cyndi Ball Santos; and his beloved daughter Helen Ball.

Don is survived by his wife of 61 years Peggy Ball; his children Mary (Jimmy) Moore and Jim (Seneca) Ball; his siblings Greg (Juanita) Molpus, Richard (Sherry) Molpus, and DeeAnne (Gene) Hawk; his grandchildren Katie (Max) Roessler, Michael (Mary Margaret) Niezgoda, Alissia (Bryant) Howell, Ethan (McKenna) Moore, Nicole White, and Isaac Moore; and his great grandchildren Clara Roessler, Emilia Roessler, Trey Niezgoda, and Stella Roessler.

Don was an entrepreneur and established Ball Heating & Air Conditioning in 1964. Don worked in his business to provide comfort to the Mississippi Gulf Coast for over 55 years. The business allowed him the opportunity to not only help his customers but to help those who worked with him and their families.

Don was an active member of Woolmarket Baptist Church where he served on many outreach ministries and served with the Southern Baptist Association helping to support other churches. He was involved with Lay Renewal ministries and loved serving with others through this ministry. Following God's will, he lived his life in service to others. Those he met and ministered with at Woolmarket Baptist Church became an extension of his family. He often said he felt like God had formed this church for him to have a place to serve (the church was formed the same year as his birth).

Over the span of his life he had many varied interest which included playing polo, flying, and playing tennis. Don will best be known by his family as Poppa Don. He cherished his family and delighted in spending time at the lake house with them and having Sunday dinners. His grandchildren and now great grandchildren brought much joy and happiness into his life. He will be greatly missed by his family as well as those who knew him.

The family would like to extend an appreciation for the care given by Dr. Chedid, Dr. Frye, and the nursing staff at Singing River Hospital Ocean Springs. They served our family with such love and grace.

Funeral services for Don will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 2:00 p.m. at Woolmarket Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Coalville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorials be made to Gideon's International or Woolmarket Baptist Church Seminary Scholarship Fund.
