Joseph Michael Atalla was born on a Tuesday morning, March 19, 1985 at Fairfax Hospital, Fairfax County, Virginia, to his proud parents, Deborah and Michael Atalla.

Joe grew up in Fairfax and Centreville, Virginia. He enjoyed spending time with his family, extended family and many friends. Upon graduation from high school he earned his Commercial Driver's License. He was employed at Martin Brower Company in Manassas, Virginia for fourteen years. Joe enjoyed the company of his co-workers and people on his routes.

Joe enjoyed his car, as well as hiking with his family, friends and especially his dog, Chance. Joe felt great compassion for dogs, especially those in animal shelters. He felt that they were gifts from God. Joe listened to many different genres of music and had many favorites. He had a warm, friendly personality and a great smile. He had a generous heart; he would often bring flowers and dinner to his parents. He was very proud of his townhouse in Bristow, Virginia, which was well maintained. He had a special fondness for Saint Jude, his Patron Saint, and Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital. Joe loved the beauty of nature and felt a sense of freedom and peace while hiking with his dog in the National Parks.

He is survived by his parents, Deborah and Michael Atalla, his grandmother, uncles, aunts, and numerous cousins. He will be forever in our hearts and greatly missed. Joseph, may the Holy Spirit embrace you and whisper in your ear how much we love you.
