Myrtle M. Navrkal

Myrtle M. Navrkal, 88, died Wednesday, April 5, 1995, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ernest Caltvedt, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 9 p.m. today, with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service and the family present 6 to 9 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

She was born June 14, 1906, in Wayne, Neb., the daughter of Andrew and Anna Spike. She married Frank Navrkal July 7, 1972, in Elk Point, S.D. He died Dec. 1986 in Sioux City. She was a longtime resident of Sioux City.

Mrs. Navrkal was an active member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, and belonged to the Sioux City Eagles Club, Aeriee 77 and Royal Neighbors of America.

Survivors include a son, Bud Johnson of Sioux City; two sisters Mable Karnes of Laurel, Neb., and Levern "Toots" and her husband, Roy Kent of Sioux City; three grandchildren, Woody and Mike Johnson, and Janice Watkins; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Floyd, Ernest and Walter, and a sister, Florence Krandall,

Pallbearers will be Mike, Scott, and Brad Johnson, Bryan and Larry Watkins, and Chuck Newton.
