Vern Ancell Swader, age 90, entered into the arms of his Lord and Savior on February 15, 2022. Vern was born on October 17, 1931, to Losson and Lena Swader in Electra, Texas. He attended Matoy school and earned his master's degree from Oklahoma State University.

On September 3, 1955, he married Wilma Jean Brown in Mead, Oklahoma. Vern worked for the Department of Agriculture and later became a cattle rancher. Vern served in the US Army, he was a 1st Lieutenant, and received an honorable discharge.

Vern and Wilma attended Victory Life Church. He also enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, sports, stained glass, baling hay with his son, and cattle ranching.

He is preceded in death by his father Losson Vern Swader and his mother Lena Lucy (Nickels) Swader.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Wilma of the home in Caddo, Oklahoma. His son Terry Swader and wife Sherry Jones of Bokchito. Daughters Carita G. Meyer and husband Randall of Springhill, Kansas, and Tanya K. Swader of Caddo, Oklahoma. Grandsons Casey R. Meyer of Overland Park, Kansas, and Justin A. Meyer of Kansas City, Missouri.

Serving as pallbearers are: Terry Swader, Randy Meyer, Casey Meyer, Justin Meyer, Michael Brown, and Tyler Slawson.

Funeral services are set for Saturday, February 19th, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Victory Life Chapel with visitation one hour before services. Burial immediately following at Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Durant.
