Weeksie Nora Irvin was born on June 28, 1930, and passed away on February 16, 2022. She was born to parents Lawrence and Hattie Young Irvin.
Two brothers; Thomas and Lawrence Junior survive her. Also surviving are her 5 children; Sharon (Ray) Brogdon, Mickey (Dennis) Blevins, Randy Attaway, Susan (Jamie) Newton, Gina (Guillermo) Menera; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
She was a member of Dogwood Hills Baptist Church in Palestine.
She spent seventeen years moving around the country as a military family enjoying the many different states.
She was an accomplished seamstress spending many hours at the sewing machine making clothes for her daughters and later making doll clothes for granddaughters.
For a time she worked at Palestine Printing in the darkroom. Later she worked in retail at Penney's.
After retirement, she enjoyed her senior groups going to meetings and line dancing. She also stayed in shape by exercising at the Palestine YMCA.
She was blessed with 91.5 years in this life and eternity with her Lord.
