Joann Genevieve Adams, of Milford, passed away peacefully on February 11th, 2022 while surrounded by her beloved family. She was 89 years old.
Joann Genevieve Adams, of Milford, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2022 while surrounded by her beloved family. She was 89 years old. Born on June 8, 1932 to Williard and Genevieve Wild in Detroit, MI. Joann had five siblings. She worked as a waitress at Ira Wilson & Sons Dairy where she met her husband, George Adams Sr. Joann then worked as a bookkeeper for Robert Hall Clothes before moving to Milford. She raised her children and babysat until her kids were older, then cleaned houses until she retired at 65 years old. Even after retirement she enjoyed caring for and spoiling her grandchildren. She was an avid bowler and attended many state and national tournaments with family and friends.
Joann is survived by her children George Adams Jr., Jeannette (Brian) Finley, and Melody (Scott) Camp; grandchildren, Kali and Kiah Finley, Courtney Camp; sister Geraldine "Gerry" Adams; also many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, George Adams Sr.; siblings Williard Wild, Katherine Petsch, Diane Byrne, and Thomas Wild.
A Funeral Service will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty St., Milford, MI 48381, on Wednesday, February 16th, at 11AM. Visitation will be begin at 9AM until the time of service.
