Age 96, of Hot Springs, AR, died Sunday, at her home; born at Cedar Glades, Arkansas to the late Sam and Vadie (Herron) Johnson; a member of First Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Homer Bates, 3 sons, Vernon, Herman & Eldean Bates; a son-in-law Bobby Clift; 2 daughters-in-law Janis & Olline Bates; 2 grandsons Robert & Billy Bates and a great-grandson Sean DeLeon Bates.
She is survived by three daughters, Evelena & husband Doyle Koller, Louise & husband Ronnie Koller, and Wanda Clift, a son, Wilbert & wife Jackie Bates all of Hot Springs, AR; eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at the First Pentecostal Church, with Rev. Billy F. Glidewell and Rev. Wilbert Bates officiating.
Interment will be in Rock Springs Cemetery in Jessieville, AR. Memorials may be made to the First Pentecostal Church or to the Rock Springs Cemetery Fund.
