Dean L. Willson, age 76, of Mt. Blanchard died at 9:25 PM Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at Birchaven Retirement Village. He was born in Millersburg, Ohio on September 3, 1931 to the late Albert J. "Zeke" and Evelyn R. (Dutton) Willson. On Aug. 17, 1951, he married Doris J. Krout and she survives. Also surviving are children, Dean, Jr. (Lisa) Willson of Van Buren; Sheryl (Keith) Weber of Cambridge, OH and Diane (Robert) Campbell of Mt. Blanchard; six grandchildren, Lindsay and Brett Willson; Nathan and Natalie Weber; and Michelle and Markus Dean Kimmell; one great-grandson, Braxton Dean Kimmell and sister, Marjorie Rodabaugh of Mt. Blanchard. He worked for Krout Trucking and Whirlpool Corporation as a supervisor for twenty-three years, retiring in 1991. He served in the US Army during the Korean War stationed in Germany. Dean was a member of the Mt. Blanchard United Methodist Church, the Delaware Twp. Fire Dept. for 50 years, the Hancock County Firemen's Association, the Mt. Blanchard Gun Club, Lions Club, a life member of the Arlington VFW and a former member of the Mt. Blanchard Town Council for 25 years. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 22, 2007 at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington with Rev. James Williams officiating. Burial will be in Krout Cemetery, Riverview Addition where the Hancock Co. Veterans Memorial Squad will present full military rites. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Delaware Twp. Fire Dept. in his memory.
