Jack was born on September 22, 1928 in Cherokee, Oklahoma, the son of Martin Shockley and Reola Neumeyer Shockley, and passed away peacefully on February 14, 2022 at his residence. He was raised in Carmen, graduating from Carmen High School with the class of 1946. Jack served in the United States Army during World War II. He attended Northwestern in Alva. He married Dorothy Ring. Together, they had one son. Jack worked for Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas, later working for Santa Fe Railroad as a relief operator agent. In 1956, Jack went to work for Champlin Oil. Jack married Hildegarde Jean Schwartz in Enid on November 21, 1956. Together they had two daughters. In 1980, Jack retired from Marice L. Brown Company of Kansas City. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, former member of the VFW and Barber Shop Quartet. Jack was preceded in passing by his parents and wife, Jean.
